Thank you; we definately need a UI that is functional and non
intrusive. These goals are not always compatible, so what we wind up
with is a compromise.
1. No UI is the best UI; we want to see our work.
2. Since we cant have our cake and eat it too, #1 is not realistic.
3. Give users more tear offs and docking areas for the various status windows.
4. Revamp the keyboard handling to allow users the option to define
keystrokes and bind them to UI components.
5. While this is being considered, do this in a generic manner that
can be scripted: Allowing more creative and talented users to override
the provided default settings.
I am sure that developers can point you to examples of other MMORPGs
that implement a very flexible UI. Giving SL Client the same kind of
flexibility would be a good thing. Very important to remember for the
user base:
1. Once a scripted API has been documented and published, dont change
it just "cuz" you can.
