Ok.

I agree with you, but the problem is that Lindens never maintain
*_vc8.vcproj files.  A regident can create a working set of
_vc8.vcproj and submit it to Linden Lab, but when the next release
comes out, the release may contain new source files.  Such addition is
reflected into SConstruct, *.xcodeproj, and *.vcproj for VC71, but not
in _vc8.vcproj files.

The only thing to solve the issue is that someone in Linden Lab to
update _vc8.vcproj files just befor the release of new source
taballs.  It only takes a few minutes, and all VS2005 developpers
involved in Viewer Open Source will be happy.

Unfortunately, Linden Lab. has no will to do so...

That's why I committed myself to do the conversion work from VC7 to
VC8 everytime.
