Does any code we write for anyone considered to be a contribution to
the SL viewer project?

ie. Can you clarify this part of the contribution agreement:

This document clarifies the terms under which You, the person listed
below, may contribute software code, documentation, or other material
described below (the "Contribution") to the Second Life Viewer project
managed by Linden Lab (the "SL Viewer Project").

..

1. "Contribution" means any source code, object code, patch, tool,
sample, graphic, specification, manual, documentation, email, comment,
posting, communication or any other material posted or submitted by
you to the SL Viewer Project.

"submitted by you to the SL Viewer Project"

Does that only mean patches that we have submitted to jira? Or any
code we use that works for the SL Viewer?

eg: if company A hires me to write code for the binary, and I write
the code, then does that code fall under this agreement?

Thx,

Tim.
