These are actually some ideas that have been kicked around for awhile.
The sandbox (wiki and svn) is something that would cover a much larger
scope than just the AWG.
I don't know if you have noticed, but there is some progress to move
more of the viewer and network work that LL does internally to more
external resources. I don't think there has been any posted time frame,
but the sandbox areas may play a role in the effort.
Again, there has been some inertia on this kind of progress, and it is
nice to see it continue to evolve.
