Yes, that was definitely mentioned, mostly because Cory only has time on
trains to do some LSL coding ;-)
(beside that it would really be nice to sit in some disconnected cafe and
work on some build etc.).
But of course this scenario with this architecture is a while away. For now
OpenSim could be used but is still somewhat limited. But it seems that it's
doing big steps these days. And doing an actual synchronisation between
regions might also be a not so easy problem at least if you want to merge
changes from online and offline and not simply copy it over. But haven't
really thought more deeply about the possible issues.
