Reading the Wiki entry, it sounds like a lot of good ideas. However, the
talk of doing away with User Picks is worrisome. LL may not be aware, but
many people use Picks like an extended area of their personal profile. The
locations in the picks often are meaningless, it's the words and pictures
which are of importance.
I think this points to the fact that the amount of space people have to
talk about themselves and what's important to them is very small in the
profile. Certainly you could remove Picks, but offering more space for
personal expression in return would be a good idea.
I know some will say you can simply start a blog or some other web based
personal page, and that's true, but not everyone is so inclined to do so.
Just some thoughts. :)
