Hi folks,
Given that things are improving (at least, we hope), I really hope you
all can cut us just a little bit of slack here.
The release team is still short-staffed right now (we're hiring...) and
the process Soft has been using has been separate from the release
team's efforts. There's some organizational disconnect that will
probably be easier to deal with next week when the program manager for
the release team is back in the office.
There are several projects underway that are going to streamline source
releases, but those projects are going to take time to get done. In the
meantime, expect incremental improvements to the process.

It should be possible to use the sldev-commits tarballs to build a full
install image.
