That's indeed a great idea! :-)
I'd like to have a once-a-month get together for a show and tell about your

Some things:
- I am working on the core and add-on products for the open source CMS Plone
(http://plone.org)
- I am working on something which might become an Agent Domain for Second
Life ( http://code.google.com/p/pysecondlife/)
- I am doing some stuff with python, like an XFN parser recently (

Hard to tell how often and long it should be, maybe it depends on how it
runs.. So maybe make an initial one and then we can see. But maybe make it 2
hours then depending on the amount of projects. I guess timezones will also
be a problem again so maybe it should shift in time from one meeting to
another.
I'm leaning towards once a month with some kind of stage /

It could be somewhat barcamp style, we can also announce it on barcamp.org:-)
cheers,
