[sldev] iPhone/iPod Touch as a Second Life I/O device

And the slow network would bother me. Do you really want an EDGE device for SL? I'd be more tempted to do something on EV-DO with Windows Mobile.

However, on a similar note, is there any progress on the SL thin client? I remember reading in January that LL was expecting there to be a public beta available in February. I'm looking at my calendar and it appears to be May, with no thin client alpha or beta in sight.

The main problem will be the iPhones rather limited ram (128MB
supposedly), the "official" graphical client consumes 400+MB most of
the time on my system. It may be possible to use libsl to make a
client, supposedly there is an ObjC# compiler out for the iPhone, but
you likely wont be able to have any graphics.

While it is a wonderful idea I think it isn't really practical due to
the hardware limitations of the iPhone itself.
