Even without synchronization pre-baked animations are inadequate if
your avatar is even slightly different from the one the animation
creator built into it. We're all cursed by limbs poking into our
bodies or floating in the air. Even if you could easily build
animations *for your avatar* and edit them in-world, that wouldn't
help people building furniture and the like that has to work with
differently shaped avatars.
You're assuming a MUCH more complex and sophisticated system than I'm
talking about. I'm looking at situations where the completely crude
"left arm pointing to the thing your editing", limited to small
changes, would produce 1000% improvement in the world.
