I have no experience fetching Webkit source, and I don't know how
complex building of Webkit is or what build system they are using.
So, I can't judge how great their demonstration is.
I know, however, something about the SL viewer building process. Yes,
our building process is far from "just several mouse clicking."
However, even today, some automated process (such as develop.py) makes
some big changes to the viewer source or building process very
difficult.
Simple and automated build process is good, but I don't think it is
more important than an easy-to-understand building system. More
custom automated build tools you supply, higher the barrier to make
some change to the building process be.
I hope LL *doesn't* develop 10k lines of cryptic python build
script to do a "just several mouse clicking" build process...
